Electrical Installations and Testing
Premier Electrical specialise in the Periodic Inspecting & Testing of Electrical Installations of domestic, commercial and industrial properties. We provide a comprehensive, independent and unbiased report on the condition of your installation.
Current legislation reflects the need for electrical installations to be inspected and tested at regular intervals defined by BS7671. Periodical Inspection and Testing satisfies the requirements of local authorities requesting electrical safety certificates.
All testing is carried out in accordance with the 16th edition of the IEE wiring regulations, BS7671.
We are members of the E.C.A, (Electrical Contractors Association) and participate in the B.R.E. (Building Research Establishment) scheme for compliance with “Part P” of the building regulations.
From 1st January 2005, anybody carrying out electrical installation work in dwellings in England & Wales is required to make "reasonable provision in the design, installation, inspection and testing" of this work to protect persons against fire or injury.
Firms registered with an authorised Competent Person Scheme for Part P are able to self-certify that their electrical installation work complies with Building Regulations and, thus, will not have to notify, or be subject to inspection by, Building Control bodies.
Portable Appliance Testing
Our Electricians are trained and equipped to carry out inspection and testing on all workplace equipment and portable appliances to meet the requirements of the Electricity at Work Act 1989.
Testing is carried out to the guidelines of the Code of Practice for in Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
